Production Blog- Filming/Editing

Welcome back bloggers! In my last blog i talked about our filming process. I explained the difficulties and the easy parts of it. In this blog, I will be talking about some of the things we filmed a specific way to edit it a specific way. To film our video we used my phone. I have an iPhone 13 pro max which has a very good camera and the quality is amazing. To edit our video we used iMovie. I have a MacBook Pro which already comes with the iMovie app. So we decided to use my computer for the editing. I have already edited things on iMovie in the past but never a Music Video. I had to learn how to do a couple things but I got the hang of it. One of the things that took the most time when editing, was matching the video with the song. Because once we put all the videos together, we had to cut them, or the song, so the clips could match with the song. For example, in one of the scenes we filmed, the little girl is running with her dog. We put this part in slow motion so the clip could be longer. We needed it to be longer because if it moved on to the next clip so suddenly, the video and the song would not make sense. When it comes to the song, it was not that hard to edit. The intro of the song we chose was pretty long and it was not matching with the clips. So what we did was cut most of the intro off and only left a couple seconds of it. I find it fun to edit and film videos so I actually enjoy this process. We can't wait for the final result! See you guys in my next blog.
