Production Blog- Filming

Image
Hi Bloggers. I am back with another filming blog. This blog is a little different. This one is going to be more detailed and specific. In my last blogs I talked about Thing that we did when we filmed and our editing process. But in this blog I will be explaining to you step by step how out days of filming went. It was stressful. This project took a lot of effort and dedication. Our first day of filming took place on a Tuesday afternoon. I called everyone the night before and told them to be at my house around 12pm or 1pm. One of my group mates, which is also my best friend, Nicholas, had to come super early because his parents worked. He showed up at 10am which I was okay with. A couple hours went by and Joao and Enzo said they wouldn't be able to get there until 3pm, which wasn't an issue but I wanted to get this filming over with. In the middle of all of this, I still had to go pick up my step sisters from their house. I did not know how I was going to get them because I do

Production Blog- Filming/Editing

Welcome back bloggers! In my last blog i talked about our filming process. I explained the difficulties and the easy parts of it. In this blog, I will be talking about some of the things we filmed a specific way to edit it a specific way. To film our video we used my phone. I have an iPhone 13 pro max which has a very good camera and the quality is amazing. To edit our video we used iMovie. I have a MacBook Pro which already comes with the iMovie app. So we decided to use my computer for the editing. I have already edited things on iMovie in the past but never a Music Video. I had to learn how to do a couple things but I got the hang of it. One of the things that took the most time when editing, was matching the video with the song. Because once we put all the videos together, we had to cut them, or the song, so the clips could match with the song. For example, in one of the scenes we filmed, the little girl is running with her dog. We put this part in slow motion so the clip could be

Hi Bloggers! Welcome back. In my last blog i talked about some of the props we used and how the experience went for us. In this blog, i will be talking about our filming process. Filming went mostly well. We only needed two days to film the whole music video. The process of it was simple and easy. We did have to film the scenes multiple times though. This was because we filmed different shots from different perspectives to see which ones looked better. We also had to film a scene more than once because of the fact that there were little girls in this video and they get distracted very easily. They would look at the camera, laugh, etc. Something that was very hard about filming, was the dog. Obviously the dog is not an actor so it was very hard for us to get him to act “normal” and actually do what we were trying to get him to do. This was the main reason why it took us longer than it should have. Filming this was very fun in general. We got to hang out with each other. We made good lau

Production Blog- Props

Hello Bloggers. Welcome back! in my last blog you heard about everything me and my group mates did to find the song we were going to use. I mentioned how hard and stressful it was for us. Once the song process was over, we were happy and exited to continue with this process. In this blog i am going to be talking about our props. in our music video, we had a lot props. So what we did was meet up one day and go buy everything we needed. we went to party city to buy most of them. Me and some of my group mates already had some of the props we needed to use. This came in handy so we didn’t have to spend so much money.  We had a lot of fun buying these props because it was really funny. We tried them on and everyone just looked really funny. We knew from this point that filming was going to take a while. We would all be laughing the whole time and it’s going to take forever. One of our props was a mustache that one of my group mates had to use to play as the dad in the story. We had to film

Welcome back Bloggers! Planning this Music Video has been really fun to do so far. It did take us multiple attempts and a lot of research had to be done. But so far, it is going really well. Choosing our song was in my opinion one of the hardest parts. Everyone did research on their own and shared it with everyone in the group. It was hard because the song had to match kind of the meaning of our video which was very hard to find. We argued and had so many disagreements on which song was better for the video. What I did personally, was when I was listening to one of the songs, I closed my eyes and imagined how the video was going to be structured. I shared this with my group mates and they tried the same thing and it worked. When they did this, it was easier for all of us to come to an agreement. We were still in between a couple songs. The song we ended up choosing is "7 years" by Luke Graham. The reason we chose this is because the song explains a kid growing up since he was
