Production Blog- Filming/ Editing
Hi bloggers! and welcome to my last Production Blog for this Music Video. In this blog I am going to finish explaining the filming and editing process. In my last blog I explained step by step how out first day of filming went. I talked about inconveniences we had in between and what we did to get through it. In this blog, I will do the same thing, but with our second day of filming. This day was much easier than the first. This was mainly because we didn't have little kids to look after, and we didn't stress as much because we all focused. We are old enough to be professional and focus when doing this. That is why this filming day lasted very little time. How this went was, we all met up at my house again. Some got there later than others but that's okay. The guys didn't need to be in the video until the last scene. It was mainly just me in this part. This is because the story is about a little girl that grows up with her dog as I explained in the other blogs. So for this I used my step sisters which are 7 and 12 years old. And then it was me, which technically shows the little girl all grown up. So for most of the scenes, not everyone needed to be there. Everyone still showed up though. To film these scenes, it took a couple shots because I was very awkward. Or I wouldn't say awkward I would say I was having fun so everything was funny. It was very hard for me to keep a straight face because they kept making me laugh. But I tried my best to keep it professional while still having fun. Now for the editing, I had an idea. I wanted to have the first scene of the story board drawing to blend in to the actual scene. I figured out how to make that happen, and when I did everyone liked it. Another thing we did was, when the girl (Me) was laying in her bed sad, she had a flashback from when she was younger with her dog. For this flashback I had to take a clip from when she was younger and blend it into that scene which actually was not hard to do.
