Song selection Blog

Hello, Welcome back! In this Blog I will be talking about my thinking process and things that I did to decide which songs I was going to use for my commercial. It was very hard for me to decide on the songs I was going to use. It took me a really long time to find the perfect song that I felt would match my commercial. At first, I asked a lot of my friends and family which songs they liked and what songs they think would sound best in my commercial. My biggest concern was that the song I chose was not going to sound good with my commercial. I was also scared that the songs were not going to match with me or with the vibe my commercial gave off. I researched a lot for good songs to use in a commercial, but that did not help. There was too many options to choose from and I couldn't decide. So I decided to just go on my Spotify playlist and find some of my favorite songs that had meaning to me. At first, like I mentioned in one of my other blogs, I thought of using a song from Taylor swift. I looked at a couple songs from her but it wasn't convincing me enough. It wasn't really my vibe and I didn't think it would sound good with my commercial. I kept looking through my playlists for more songs and I remembered I use to listen to Olivia Rodrigo a lot so maybe one of her songs would sound good for my commercial. I looked at a couple of her songs but it just didn't fully fit right with me. After looking and listening to a lot of different songs, I decided to use the song "I Lived" by One Republic. I decided on this song as one of them because it is a song that I listen to when I am unmotivated and I need a little push. Now for the second song it was a little harder. I went through a bunch of songs and playlists trying to figure out which one to use. I finally sound a song that I use to listen to all the time with my friends. The song is "Dandelions" by Ruth B. This song makes me happy. When I have a bad day and I hear this song it brings a smile out of me. Thank you for reading another one of my Blogs! See you in my next one!
